60s Soul & Ska

They say "If you can remember the 60s, you weren't really there". Maybe so, but the music survived.

The ONLY dance music in the 60s was American Soul or Jamaican Ska.

djook plays old favourites and many lesser known dance hall smashes. All from 7" vinyl, no CDs, no MP3s. Just old black plastic and it sounds fantastic. You'll itch & you'll twitch and you'll want to dance.

So, if you love Motown, Stax, Atlantic, Blue Beat and all those other classic sixties sounds, this is the place to be. Bringing back the magic of the old Leicester clubs like the Night Owl, The Burlesque and even the Penny Farthing.

And if you're too young to remember the sixties, then here's your chance to find out about some fine music. Infectious beats, magical harmonies and songs that you can't get out of your head.

These are records that have stood the test of time.

As Dobie Gray sang "Other guys try to imitate us, but the original is still the greatest". The 'In' Crowd is "outasite".
